FAQ
-
A Health and Wellness Coach (HWC) is one who has been trained to work with individuals and/or groups in a client-centered process to facilitate self-determined goals related to their well-being.
-
Well-being integrates physical health (body) and mental health (mind) in a holistic approach to health promotion and disease prevention.
-
Is there a behavior you want to change but don’t know how? Do you feel stuck?
As co-creator, a coach partners with the client to encourage self-discovery, design goals and action steps to attain those goals. A HWC can provide the structure and motivation needed to jump start behavior change
-
A client expects the coach to be non-judgmental and to listen; to hold all conversations in confidence and to walk side-by-side with them in their journey.
-
A HWC expects the client to be open and honest about what matters most in their lives, to be curious and willing to try new things and most importantly, to be committed to do the work required in order to change
-
Behavior change cannot happen in a day. Typical HWC engagements are for periods of 3-6 months, or longer, for maximum effectiveness.
-
The client defines the mission and is the expert of their own lives. The HWC becomes their partner and motivator to stay on track.
